Brandon is Eight!
Brandon turned eight this weekend and celebrated with a superhero party!
On his actual birthday he was able to go to Heinz Field for a Steelers game (with sideline passes).

Hill Week 2017
The kids headed to Central PA to visit their grandparents again this summer. Highlights of the week included trips to the pretzel factory and the chips factory, a stop at the orchard playland and taking a ride in the convertible when it turned 100,000 miles.

Dearborn Trip
We took a road trip last week to Dearborn, Michigan (just outside of Detroit). We started at the Henry Ford Museum, where the kids spent the entire day learning about history and American innovation. They even got to help build a real Model T and then sit in it when it was complete.
Then we visited Greenfield Village, where you can actually take a ride in a real Model T. It's a little town with authentic old buildings and vehicles and methods of working. Evelyn said it was just like going back in time.
Before returning home we took a tour of the Ford Rouge Factory, where they build new F-150 trucks. Brandon thought everything about it was "AWESOME!"

Kennywood 2017
We headed out to Kennywood for our annual visit and the kids had lots of fun. We rode the rides, ate the fries and stayed for the laser show and fireworks.

OCMD 2017
The kids had another fun week in Ocean City! They watched the Blue Angels, boogie boarded, played mini golf and swam in the pool. And Brandon even got to drive his own go-kart.

Spring Wrap-Up
It's been a busy spring!
Brandon just finished his last U8 soccer season.
Evelyn danced at her annual recital.
And she also sang the National Anthem with her school choir at the Pirates game.

Return of the Air Show
We celebrated Mother's Day by going to Wings Over Pittsburgh 2017.
The air show finally returned to the 911th Airlift Wing after a six year absence. The kids were able to walk through giant cargo planes and watch some amazing aerial maneuvers.
