We were worried that she would cry when the pastor put the water on her head. After all, bathtime is usually before bed, not at 10:00 on a Sunday morning. We should have been worried about Steph instead.
But Evy did great. She even smiled at the congregation, and they chuckled when the water flattened down her hair.
Afterwards, both mother and daughter fell asleep in the car on the way home. And we put the dress away in case it might be used in another 30 years.
Congratulations. Evelyn (and her parents) did a great job on Sunday. It was wonderful that the dress fit, and she looked great for her big occasion. She is a charmer and a sweetheart.
